Michael Hemenway brings 20+ years of experience and specializes in data integration, natural language processing, organizational design, instructional design, and ethical practices around the use and development of artificial intelligence. He is Director of Design and Data Science at the Association of Theological Schools and Adjunct Instructor in Responsible AI at Case Western Reserve University. Michael was co-founder of the Experimental Humanities Lab and the Artificial Intelligence Institute at the Iliff School of Theology.

Andy creates spaces where people can flourish. He uses humor, sincerity, design theory, and the imagination to bring communities together, and to get things done. He is the co-founder of Yostfish, LLC, a national consulting firm that specializes in bringing together diverse groups of people to solve complex problems by performing in-depth root cause analyses of adaptive systems, and building the capacity of systems to implement community-driven reform.
Andy holds a BA in philosophy, an MA in theology, a JD, and a PhD in the study of religion. He is licensed to practice law in Colorado and Ohio. He currently serves as the Community-Based Design Lead and Regional Liaison at the Center for Legal and Judicial Innovation and Advancement, an entity funded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Children’s Bureau. Previously, he served as Senior Counsel at the National Association of Counsel for Children (NACC).
